Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), aims to guide rural youth between the age of 15-35 years & offer them with jobs with a standard monthly payment. It is one of the cluster initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), that seeks to promote rural livelihoods. It is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) ? the Mission for poverty reduction called Aajeevika. Navjeevan is engaged in this project since September 2014 as a Project Implemented Agency (PIA) and has provided training to many youths who were unskilled and unemployed. In the course of the training, we also include personality development, career counseling, spoken English & Computer classes, capacity building etc. This project is being implemented by Navjeevan in 6 Districts of Gujarat ? Rajkot, Morbi, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Dev Bhoomi Dwarka, and Kutch. We had successfully completed the first phase (45 Batches) of training, conducted NCVT Exam.
